About Us
We believe there is a significant opportunity to improve healthcare quality and cost for employers, employees, and insurance companies. Regulatory changes, modern payments infrastructure, and AI have made it possible to build things that simply weren’t practical a few years ago. We’re building a national ICHRA platform that combines healthcare, fintech, compliance, operations, and AI. Responsibilities
- Design systems, not just code. Research, scope, and architect solutions to difficult problems in healthcare, payments, compliance, and operations.
- Work effectively with AI-assisted development tools to rapidly prototype, implement, and refine solutions.
- Review, validate, and improve AI-generated code for correctness, maintainability, security, and long-term operability.
- Own projects from idea to production, including design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Improve the leverage of the entire engineering organization through tooling, automation, documentation, and process improvements.
- Build systems that are simple, durable, and understandable six months later.
- Navigate ambiguity and make pragmatic decisions that keep the company moving forward.
Must Have
- Strong Python or TypeScript skills, or deep experience in another modern programming language.
- Excellent engineering judgment.
- Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar systems and domains.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience using AI coding tools effectively, or excitement about learning to do so.
- A strong bias toward shipping useful things.
- US residency; unfortunately, we’re unable to sponsor visas or hire outside of the US at this time.
Application Process

- We will give you a chance to have an optional 15 minute chat with us, to explore what we are building and see if it's a good fit for you!
- At a time of your choosing, we will give you two hours to download a dataset and build something interesting with it.
- We'll do a one hour live coding interview over Zoom.
- We'll do a half hour interview with the CEO, and an hour-long in-depth interview with the CTO about a past project.
- Before we extend an offer, we will ask for and call your references.
- After we extend the offer, we will require a background check and proof that you are eligible to work in the US. We are not able to sponsor visas at this time.
Nice to Have
- Experience in healthcare, fintech, payments, or other regulated industries.
- Experience in highly autonomous or fully remote environments.
- Experience building internal developer tooling, platforms, or operational systems.
- Familiarity with modern AI-assisted development workflows.
